History

  • The Department of Political Science was started in the year 1963. Several eminent professors have worked relentlessly to develop the department. At present, the department is headed by Shri. D.N.Nadageri
  • The Political Science is offered as one of the three subjects of equal importance to B.A students.
  • Political Science has 08 combinations with other optional subjects.
  • The Faculty membersteach compulsory subject  IC for B.A/ B.Sc./ B.C.A 1st Semester students.

Aim

  • To prepare the students to become the best citizens.
  • To prepare the students to become the best administrators.

Objectives

  • To enable the students to learn the functioning of the Govt.
  • To give the knowledge of the Government & politics.
  • To make people conscious of their rights.
  • To give the knowledge of world affairs and affairs of one's own country.
  • To make the people rise above Regionalism.

Strategies

  • To conduct an orientation programme for new students.
  • To evaluate the student's progress from time to time.
  • To conduct Seminars and Workshops.
  • To enhance the number of distinctions and ranks.
  • To arrange Guest Lectures and Seminars.
