On the occasion of the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava, various competitive activities were organized by the Cultural Wing of the Kannada Department and the IQAC of S. B. Arts and KCP Science College, under the B. R. D. Institution

The events included an oration competition, an extempore speech competition, and a rangoli competition.

The judges for the oration competition were Dr. M. B. Patil from the Hindi Department and Mr. Sharanu Patil from the English Department. The judges for the extempore speech competition were Dr. Srinivas Doddmani, Head of the Kannada Department, and Mrs. Lakshmi Wali, Head of the Sanskrit Department.

Furthermore, the Kannada Department faculty members Mr. S. Y. Angadi, Dr. Renuka Kantara, and Dr. Usha Devi Hiremath served as the program coordinators and organizers and successfully conducted the event.
