Following the sad passing of the esteemed Padma Shri Awardee, Saalumarada Thimmakka, a profound and fitting tribute was organized on campus by the BLDE Associations Hasiru Siri Cell of S.B. Arts and K.C.P. Science College, Vijayapura.

Staff and students came together not for a simple moment of silence, but for a beautiful act of living remembrance, planting saplings across the college premises. This small yet significant initiative transforms their condolence into a tangible legacy, as the college community plants new life to humbly honor Thimmakka's inspiring, lifelong dedication to environmental protection—a truly green salute to the "Tree Mother."
